Guided hiking trails

Arnad is a microcosm waiting to be discovered at any time of the year. Some twenty trails, which start from the main town and small villages, cross the chestnut tree and oak forests, inviting you to rediscover the rhythms of the past. There are ones for all ages and fitness levels, from half hour hikes to three-hour climbs. You only have to choose: either walk slowly, stopping in villages, or stretch your legs along trails that lead to higher ground.

On the occasion of this event, we suggest the following guided itineraries in partnership with the Cai di Verrès Group: :

1. Arnad-Machaby:
from the festival area you reach the old and beautiful Machaby sanctuary that is dedicated to the Madonna delle Nevi. The building dates back to at least the start of the sixteenth century and contains numerous ex votos, a sign of the Arnad inhabitants' devotion over the centuries.

2. Arnad-Castellaccio:
from the festival area, going along an old path, you reach the large castle. It is an old fortress that is now abandoned and is near the Vallaise Castle which dominated the entire town.

The walk will take place on Friday 28 at 09.00


3. Walking in the plain :
by taking on this itinerary, you can visit Arnad's most representative monuments. You will therefore be able to see the old Borgo di Ville, the parish church dedicated to S. Martino, the Clos de Barme press and the old bridge of Echallod . A small journey through history, art and culture.
